Natalie Grayson is passionate about communication. She believes it is the cause and cure for much of what ails us. As a teacher, principal, district-level administrator, author, preacher, daughter, wife, and mother, she has a lot of experience with its potency. Her formal education from Fairfax County Public Schools, Hampton University (B.A., Mass Media Arts), and George Mason University (M.Ed., Curriculum and Instruction) nurtured her love for its capacity. Natalie understands that the written word is one of the most salient forms communication takes. She says, “Written words emit. They invoke. They restore. They live. They linger. So we must be careful how we use them.” The ocean is her happy place. It inspired her to see that “Writers dive deep to bring up gems from their souls, ride the waves of revising and editing, and produce something that satisfies, calms, and heals.” Natalie cherishes the life she lives with her amazing husband, delightful three sons, and precocious beagle. She finds her hope, peace, and joy in her identity as a daughter of God through Jesus Christ and her relentless pursuit of knowing Him better and learning how to love from His example.
